Dried Leaves Font for Modern Branding Projects

There’s something about starting a brand board with a clean slate that feels like opening a new chapter. Recently, I found myself in that exact moment—fresh canvas, no constraints, and one font on my mind: Dried Leaves. As a display font, it promised a modern edge, and I wanted to see how it would translate into real-world branding scenarios. What followed was an eye-opening journey through logo drafts, packaging mockups, and social media layouts, all while keeping Dried Leaves at the center of each design.

Dried Leaves for Café Branding and Social Media Layouts

When I first tested Dried Leaves, I applied it to a café visual refresh project. The goal was to create a warm yet contemporary identity that felt inviting but not overly casual. Placing Dried Leaves on a menu header immediately gave the design a cool, modern vibe. It worked well as a headline font, especially when paired with a clean sans serif for body text. On Instagram posts, it added just the right amount of character without overwhelming the content. Its brushed style brought a sense of movement and texture that traditional fonts couldn’t match.

I experimented with different weights and noticed that even the lighter versions maintained clarity. This made it ideal for small elements like hashtags or taglines. The font didn’t feel too bold or too delicate—it struck that perfect balance between approachable and stylish.

Dried Leaves in Logo Design and Business Card Mockups

Next up was a logo concept for a boutique skincare brand. I needed something that felt fresh and natural, yet professional enough for a luxury product. Dried Leaves fit the bill perfectly. Its brushed strokes gave the impression of handcrafted elegance, which aligned well with the brand’s ethos. When I layered it over a minimalist background, it stood out without being overpowering.

Testing Dried Leaves on a business card mockup was another success. It looked great in both black and white, and the subtle texture of the font added depth to the printed piece. I also tried using it alongside a serif font for contrast, and the combination created a nice visual rhythm that worked across both digital and print formats.

Dried Leaves for Packaging Design and Website Headers

One of the most exciting applications was on a product label for a handmade candle line. Dried Leaves became the main typeface for the brand name and key selling points. It gave the packaging a unique, artisanal look that differentiated it from mass-produced competitors. The font’s modernity helped maintain a sense of sophistication, while its brushed style hinted at creativity and craftsmanship.

On the website header, I used Dried Leaves for the primary navigation. It was clear, readable, and visually engaging. I avoided using it for long paragraphs, as it’s best suited as a display font. However, for short phrases and headlines, it performed exceptionally well. Pairing it with a complementary sans serif font allowed for a balanced hierarchy that guided the user’s eye smoothly through the content.

Dried Leaves in Editorial Design and Creative Studio Identity

In an editorial design context, Dried Leaves came to life in magazine spreads and blog headers. It worked beautifully as a title font, especially for lifestyle and creative content. The font’s modern brushed style brought a sense of energy and spontaneity that matched the tone of the content.

For a creative studio identity, I used Dried Leaves in the logo and supporting materials. It conveyed professionalism while still feeling fresh and innovative. The font’s versatility allowed it to be used across various mediums, from stationery to online portfolios. It was especially effective in creating a cohesive brand system that felt both modern and memorable.

If you’re considering Dried Leaves for your next project, take the time to test it in different contexts before finalizing any client work. Check the licensing terms to ensure it meets your commercial needs, and always pair it with fonts that complement its style. Whether you're designing for a café, skincare brand, or creative studio, Dried Leaves has the potential to elevate your designs with its modern, brushed aesthetic.
